Tetris

Tetris and Fruitris (fruit drop tetris) and each can be played in three modes, that's six different types of the classic tetris game. You can even play the game with the computer! Check out all the menu options.

You can play it yourself in the classic tetris mode or play with a friend, sibling or a spouse to either compete or collaborate. As far as we know the collaborative mode tetris is unique to us.

When competing, if "Random Blocks" option is chosen, then random lines are added at the bottom of the losing board. This puts extra pressure on one of the players.

In collaborative mode, both the players play on the same board and collaborate to win. And by the way, if you are ambidextrous, you can try playing the game in competitive or collaborative mode using your both hands. Of course, non-ambidextrous people can also enjoy playing it with both hands especially when trying to collaborate with both hands. We highly encourage you to try out competing with someone and then collaborating with them. Both should teach you lessons that you can relate to your real life.

You can also play tetris based on regular tetrominoes blocks or based on fruit blocks. Fruitris (fruit tetris or fruit drop tetris) is played not only using furit blocks, but the rules of the games are also different. Fruitris also has water, fire and bugs (if you haven't guessed, they eat the fruits :)) making it more fun to play.

If you don't have a patner to play, don't worry. Just let the comptuer play either solo (classic mode) or along with you (competitive and collaborative modes). We use some kind of AI (artificial intelligence) algorithms and let the computer play to optimize the score.

Tetris Scoring

  • At most you can clear 4 lines in the classic tetris. Clearing 4 lines at the same time gives a lot more score than clearing 4 lines one at at time. So the score depends on the number of lines cleared at the same time.
  • At higher levels, the blocks fall faster making it hard to arrange them packed. Hence, score increases with the level.
  • It is also possible to drop the blocks from as high as possible contributing to a few more extra points. So, all put together, you want to clear 4 lines at the same time when you are on level 10 dropping the piece from all the way top to the 4th line at the bottom!
